Question: Joe, its summer time in central New York. What should motorists be particularly careful of this time of year, especially when they are out on the roads?
Joe: Hopefully the weather will improve. There is construction everywhere and every place. There is major construction planned and this time of year you really have to pay attention and go slow. There are a lot of vehicles and people on the road, who aren’t familiar with the road, doing crazy things. The old adage is you don’t only have to be safe yourself, you do have to watch out for everyone else. When watching out for everyone else, your brakes, your tires and your car should be in good mechanical condition. Just in case you run into a situation where you need any of those to try and save you. Crazy situations can become very, very dangerous very fast. In my business I see it all the time, so plan to be safe.
